Fantastic Animations

Here are the first 'doodling' animations from our second Hambridge University class:

really...?

And a first try with the camera. Good attempt, though I think a tripod would make it even better...

And then in the after school club this was created! One of the best, I think. Simple, and effective:

and to help remember for hte next session...a play-doh crab. Very clever. I wish I could make things like that.

Kyle's Webpage

Kyle has been working on this for a few weeks - we've come to an agreement, and I'm pleased to put this up...

This is me...again!!!

I've had another fantastic group at Hambridge, and we've tried out 'This is me'. They are really imaginative - well done everyone!

Here are all the wonderful web pages - I've had to adjust these to put them online - so any mistakes - it might be me!! There are a few missing sounds and images, but that's what you get for having to do SATs!

Very sad, :(, just can't get this working today. To do with Java, I think, but I need to read up on it. I'll keep trying... Here are the brilliant Scratch games the children have begun developing... Ben's shark attack

New animations...

Here's what the wonderful kids at Ashcott have made this week...

It is a truth universally accepted that girls do romance and weddings, boys do fight scenes!

Here's a wedding!

Oh yes, boys do aliens, too!

I love this one. Great idea...

Well done Jacqueline, bit of pixilation:

And a great group effort, girls:

I've tried uploading the scratch projects but it's just not working. I'll take a look at it during the week...

Starting on Scratch in Ashcott

This week I introduced the animation club to Scratch. They were very skeptical  but really quite enjoyed it once they got going. I've uploaded them to my scratch account so you can see them...

New Week, New Challenge

So last week, at Hambridge University, we learnt that animation is made of many separate frames. This week I brought along the  cameras and a portable shareware program called videopad. Here's what the clever (and slightly sinister) students produced!

Jess and Leonie may, possibly, have made the first ever movie involving play doh that commits suicide. Though knowing kids, probably not! I think this was Take 1

And here's Take 2

Here's a late entry...

of course, blue-tac map travel

Emily decided she would like to continue using RealWorldPaint to make a longer animation. She's working in a really fine detail. Oh no! Who left that ball in the way? and a quick 'sick' face.

Ben wanted to go travelling with blu tac, though I'm not sure these are both Ben's - you'll have to let me know, Ben

Late entries...just arrived...
